Our Inspiration

Late Hon. Shivajirao Shendge was a visionary and compassionate leader whose commitment to community service and dedication to empowering those with intellectual disabilities continue to inspire us. His lifelong mission was to create a society where every individual, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and independence. Shivajirao Shendge believed in the transformative power of education and support for individuals with disabilities, paving the way for the establishment of Ajay and Ajinkya Mentally Retarded School. His legacy lives on in our school’s mission to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with special needs, empowering them to realize their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. His spirit and values guide us every day as we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of our students and their families.

Hon. Jaysingrao Shendge, fondly known as Tatya, is the esteemed Chairman of Shivajirao(Bapu) Shendge Residential  School for Mentally Retarded Children. With a heart full of compassion and a vision of inclusivity, Tatya has been instrumental in transforming the school into a place of hope and empowerment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. His dedication to continuing the legacy of his Uncle . Ex Minister Hon. Shivajirao Shendge, reflects in his unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student receives the care, education, and support they deserve. Tatya’s leadership is marked by his hands-on involvement, focus on holistic development, and a genuine belief in the potential of every individual. His guidance and dedication inspire the school community to work tirelessly towards building a brighter future for children with special needs.
